Photographer Frank Wallis loves the nude more than any other art form, and he has worked with dozens of models over the course of the last twenty years, beginning in Connecticut and now flourishing in San Francisco. Frank Wallis, Photography of the Nude: An Annotated Bibliography (1994) is out of print, but is available for study at fine research libraries around the world. Wallis believed that in order to make a contribution to the art he had to know the art. The best way was to survey all that had been done before.
