Born in 1938, I was  raised and still live in Schleswig-Holstein, the beautiful country between the  North Sea and the Baltic where the interaction of light and landscape has  attracted artists for centuries. After spending some  25 years in pharmaceutical marketing, I am now retired and live with my wife in  a picturesque village in this delightful part of Germany.

My photographic  ambitions were aroused in 1980 after attending several seminars in Austria. In  the absence of local opportunities to further my interest in photography, I started the Schleswig Photo Club which I was able to develope into one of the  two biggest and most successful photo clubs in the Association of German Photography.
My efforts were rewarded when we took the German Championship of 1997.
I greatly value my friendship with professionals like
